QU120 Crane Rail Materials
QU120 rails are produced using U71Mn high-carbon rail steel, selected specifically for high wheel pressure, frequent impact loading, and fatigue-intensive environments. For special applications, higher-strength or project-specific steel grades can be customized to meet unique load, wear, or service-life requirements.
| U71Mn | Mechanical Property | Chemical Composition |
| Yield strength | Tensile strength | Elongation | Hardness | C | Si | Mn | S | P | Cr | Ni | Cu |
| MPa | kg/mm² | MPa | kg/mm² | min | HB | ≤ | ≤ | ≤ | ≤ | ≤ |
| | | ≥880 | | 9% | | 0.65-0.76 | 0.15-0.35 | 1.10-1.40 | 0.030 | 0.030 | 0.25 | 0.25 | 0.25 |
Material advantages include:
- High tensile strength and resistance to plastic deformation
- Excellent wear resistance under large-diameter crane wheels
- Strong fatigue performance for long service cycles
- Stable hardness distribution for predictable rail head behavior
- Through controlled rolling and cooling processes, the steel achieves a consistent internal structure that supports long-term track stability under extreme loads.
