Seamless steel pipes can be cut when in use. The purpose of cutting is to meet the usage requirements. Therefore, the length and other dimensions must be measured before cutting to meet the usage requirements. When cutting, you must choose appropriate tools. Generally, metal saws, toothless saws and other tools can be used for cutting. At the same time, both ends of the fracture must be protected, that is, use fireproof and heat-resistant baffles to prevent splashing sparks, hot iron beans, etc.
Seamless steel pipes need to be polished after cutting. This can be done with an angle grinder. The purpose of polishing is to avoid pipe damage caused by melting or burning of the plastic layer during the welding operation.
After polishing, the seamless steel pipe needs to be coated with plastic protection, that is, at the mouth of the pipe with oxygen, C2H2 heating, there will be partial melting, and then apply the plastic powder, be sure to apply in place, and ensure uniform, if it is a flange, you need to apply to the position above the water line. In the heating to control the temperature, to avoid too high temperature to produce bubbles, but also to avoid too low temperature can not melt the plastic powder caused by the plastic layer falling off.
Stainless steel pipes are cleaned by cleaning. When cleaning, the surface of the steel should be cleaned with solvents and emulsions first. This method is only used as an auxiliary means of anti-corrosion and cannot really remove rust from stainless steel pipes. You can also use steel brushes, iron wire balls and other tools to remove loose oxide scale and rust on the surface before cleaning.
Using spray rust removal, a high-power motor drives the spray blade to rotate at high speed, so that steel sand, steel shot, wire segments, minerals and other abrasives are sprayed on the surface of the stainless steel pipe under the action of centrifugal force. Not only can rust, oxides and dirt be completely removed, but the steel pipe can also achieve the required uniform roughness under the intense impact and friction of the abrasive. Spray rust removal is an ideal rust removal method among pipeline anti-corrosion methods.
Pickling is also one of the ways to remove rust. Generally, chemical and electrolytic methods are used for pickling treatment. Only chemical pickling is used for pipeline anti-corrosion. Although this method can achieve a certain degree of cleanliness, it can easily cause pollution to the environment, so it is not recommended.
Fake and inferior seamless steel pipes are easy to scratch. The reason is that the fake and inferior seamless steel pipe manufacturers have poor equipment and are prone to burrs and scratches on the steel surface. Deep scratches reduce the strength of steel.
Fake seamless steel pipes have no metallic luster and are light red or similar in color to pig iron.
The transverse ribs of fake and inferior seamless steel pipes are thin and low, and they often appear to be underfilled. The reason is that in order to achieve a large negative tolerance, the manufacturer’s reduction in the first few passes of the finished product is too large, the iron shape is too small, and the hole pattern is not fully filled.
The cross-section of fake and inferior seamless steel pipes is oval. The reason is that in order to save materials, the manufacturer uses a larger reduction amount in the first two passes of the finished roller. The strength of this seamless steel pipe is greatly reduced, and it does not conform to the overall dimensions of the seamless steel pipe standards.
The composition of high-quality seamless steel pipes is uniform, the tonnage of the cold shear machine is high, and the cut section is smooth and neat. However, due to poor material quality, the cut section of fake and inferior seamless steel pipes often has meat loss, that is, it is uneven and has no metallic luster, and because the products of fake and inferior manufacturers have fewer heads, big ears will appear at the head and tail.
The material of fake and inferior seamless steel pipes contains many impurities, the density of the steel is small, and the size is seriously out of tolerance, so it can be weighed and checked without a vernier caliper. Generally speaking, the effect of phase-integrated weighing will be better, mainly considering the issues of cumulative error and probability theory.
