The Energy Efficiency of Eteel, Primary Aluminum and Other Unit Products is at the World’s Advanced Level

According to the 2023 Industrial Green Development Conference held in Guangzhou, China’s industrial green development has achieved positive results. With digital transformation promoting the optimization and upgrading of industrial structure, industrial energy consumption has dropped significantly, and the efficiency of energy resource utilization has continued to improve.

At present, China has built more than 2,500 digital workshops and smart factories, which has significantly enhanced the iteration speed and delivery capabilities of industrial products such as automobiles and home appliances, and greatly improved the safety and green development of process industries such as steel and petrochemicals.

Statistics show that in 2022, China’s high-tech manufacturing and equipment manufacturing industries will account for 15.5% and 31.8% of the designated industries, respectively, an increase of 6.1 and 3.8 percentage points compared with 2012. From 2012 to 2022, the value-added energy consumption of industrial units above designated size will drop by more than 36%. The energy efficiency per unit of products such as steel, primary aluminum, and cement clinker is at the advanced level in the world. The output of major links in the photovoltaic industry chain accounts for more than 70% of the world, and the supply capacity of green products has been significantly enhanced.

Accelerate the digital transformation of manufacturing processes. Use digital transformation to drive changes in production methods, promote new-generation information technologies such as 5G, big data, and artificial intelligence, improve energy, resource, and environmental management levels, and empower green manufacturing.

The “White Paper on Industrial Green Development” shows that by the end of April 2023, a total of 3,616 green factories, 267 green industrial parks, and 403 green supply chain management companies have been established at the national level. The overall energy consumption level of green factories is higher than the benchmark level of energy efficiency, and the average utilization rate of solid waste disposal in green industrial parks exceeds 95%.

Digitalization, intelligentization and green development are gradually integrated. By the end of 2022, the numerical control rate of key processes in industrial enterprises across the country and the penetration rate of digital R&D and design tools will reach 59% and 77% respectively.

At present, all localities are promoting green manufacturing in an all-round way, building a modern manufacturing model with low consumption, low emission, high efficiency, and high benefit, and jointly promoting carbon reduction, pollution reduction, green expansion, and growth to achieve coordinated optimization of economic, ecological, and social benefits.

It is understood that according to the relevant regulations of the European Union, when products whose carbon price is lower than the carbon price of the European carbon emission trading right market are imported into the EU customs area, the carbon price difference must be made up. Carbon has become a new issue affecting international trade and national competitiveness factor.
