Classification of steel structure materials

1. According to the steel processing method: hot rolled steel plate, cold rolled steel plate.

1)Hot rolling: The slab (mainly for continuous casting) is bad as raw material, and after heating, the hot steel strip is made from the roughing mill and the finishing mill group. The hot steel strip from the last mill is cooled to the set temperature by laminar flow, and the steel strip coil is rolled by the coiler. The cooled steel strip coil is made according to the different needs of users. Through different finishing lines (leveling, straightening, crosscutting or slitting, inspection, weighing, packaging and marking, etc.) processed into steel sheet, flat coil and slitting strip products. To put it more simply, a piece of steel is taken, heated, rolled several times, and straightened at the cutting edge to become a steel plate.

2)Cold rolling: using hot-rolled steel coil as raw material, cold continuous rolling after pickling to remove the oxide, the finished product is rolled hard roll due to continuous cold deformation due to its cold hardening of the rolled hard roll strength, hardness increase, toughness and plastic index decline, so the stamping performance will deteriorate, can only be used for simple deformation parts. Cold rolling is processed from hot rolled plates at room temperature. Although the steel plate will also heat up during the processing because of rolling, it is still called cold rolling.

Galvanized steel plate: In order to prevent the surface of the steel plate from corrosion and extend its service life, the surface of the steel plate is coated with a layer of metallic zinc. This zinc-coated thin steel plate is called a galvanized plate. It can be divided into the following categories according to production and processing methods:

(1)Hot dip galvanized steel plate. The thin steel plate immersed in the dissolved zinc tank, so that the surface of the thin steel plate adhered to a layer of zinc is currently mainly produced by continuous galvanizing process, that is, the continuous immersion of rolled steel plates in the plating tank dissolved with zinc to make galvanized steel.

(2)Alloyed galvanized steel plate: This steel plate is also manufactured by hot dipping method, but after the tank is out, it is heated to about 500 ° C immediately to generate an alloy back film of zinc and iron. This galvanized sheet has good coating adhesion and bonding.

(3)Electric galvanized steel plate: The manufacture of this galvanized steel plate by electroplating has good processability. However, the coating is thin and the corrosion resistance is not as good as that of hot-dip galvanized sheet.

(4)Single-sided plating and double-sided difference galvanized steel plate: single-sided galvanized steel plate is only one side of galvanized products, in welding, painting, rust prevention treatment, processing, etc., there is better adaptability than double-sided galvanized plate. In order to overcome the shortcomings of uncoated zinc on one side, the galvanized sheet coated with a thin layer of zinc on the other side is a double-sided differential galvanized sheet.

(5)Alloy, composite galvanized steel plate: is made of zinc and other metals such as brazing, zinc alloy and even composite plated steel plate, this steel plate has excellent anti-rust performance, but also has good coating performance.

In addition to the above five kinds, there are color galvanized steel plate, printed coated galvanized steel plate, polyvinyl chloride laminated galvanized steel plate and so on. But the most commonly used is still hot dip galvanized sheet. Galvanized sheet can be divided into general use, roof use, building exterior plate use, structural use. Color-coated board: Generally, the color-coated substrates are hot-dip galvanized and galvalume. That is, hot-dip galvanized sheet and galvanized sheet are sprayed with paint. After several sprays and baking, the color-coated board is processed. The substrates of color-coated boards can be divided into cold-rolled substrates, hot-dip galvanized substrates, and electro-galvanized substrates. The coating types of color-coated boards can be divided into polyester, silicon-modified polyester, polyvinylidene fluoride, and plastisol.

4. According to the thickness of the steel plate: thin plate, medium plate, thick plate, extra thick plate. Sheet refers to the thickness of the steel plate below 4mm, in actual work, often the thickness of the steel plate greater than 4mm, in actual work, often the thickness of the steel plate less than 20mm is called the plate, the thickness of the steel plate greater than 20mm to 60mm is called the thick plate, the thickness of the steel plate greater than 60mm is a super thick plate.

Steel plate material:

There should be two kinds of Q235 and Q345, Q represents the yield strength, Q235 is the yield strength above 235 mpa, Q235B B is the grade of impact test, divided into ABCD, where A means that there is a impact test, B means that at 20 degrees of normal temperature impact test C means 0 degrees of impact measurement, C means 0 degrees of impact measurement, D stands for impact test at -20 degrees low temperature. Q345 is a low alloy steel (C less than 0.2%).

Main accessories of the main steel structure:

High-strength bolts: Standard high-strength bolts include screws, nuts, and washers. The surface is generally treated with blackening and anti-rust treatment. Main commonly used specifications: M12, M16, M20, M22, M24, M27, M30.

Ordinary bolts: The surface is generally hot-dip galvanized. Generally, ordinary bolts include: 1 screw, 1 nut, and 2 washers. Light steel structures generally use M12. Pay attention to whether there are omissions, restrictions, and correct installation positions.

Main specifications of welding rods: diameter 3.2, 4/5 (mm); classification of construction steel structure welding rods: low hydrogen type E50 is mainly used for welding Q345 steel plates; ordinary type E45 is mainly used for welding between Q345 and Q235 steel plates, and for joining Q235 steel plates. Before welding, pay attention to the factory certificate, shelf life, appearance, dryness, etc.
